His other endeavors included being on the board of directors of The Reno Rodeo and a member of Hot August Nights.

He is survived by his only daughter, Cindy Raymond, her husband Clifford Raymond and their two children Nicole and Kyle Raymond, all from Reno, Nevada. Also surviving are his sister Sally Soucie, and his nieces, Diane, Donna, and Delores all of Wilsonville, OR. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred and father, Ralph.

Uncle Dicker, I am thinking of you today and remembering what a terrific kind-hearted Soul you were. I know you and Fran and Mom and Jimmy are all together now with all of your animals and all of your departed friends. I miss you and Mom very much. I love you, until we meet again.

I remember Granny telling me about when Uncle Dick was a Cub Scout and was at place called High Rock swimming hole and a child was drowning. Uncle Dick dived in as the child was under water fighting for his life. Uncle Dick dived down and due to his Scout Cub survival skills and wrapped his arms around him and swam this child back to shore. The child lived and Uncle Dick was given a Honorary Medal of Bravery from the Gladstone Police Department. He made the front page of the local paper. That was the type of guy he was.
When I used to ask him about it, he stated that anyone would have done the same thing.

My Uncle never talked about it, but my
Granny and my Mom told me this story when I was young. Granny still had the newspaper clipping when she passed away just last year. I have it now.
I am so glad that this man is my blood and I can only wish that I can be loved and appreciated by so many that new him. We will miss you but will all be together soon. See you soon. I love you. Delores Angel
