Sabel Shields Obituary
SHIELDS
Sabel Shields, 51, of Gardnerville, NV passed away on April 18, 2009.
She was an employee at the Carson Valley Inn for 16 years. Her biggest hobby was golf and could always hit the ball straight down the fairway.
Sabel is survived by her partner, Bill Reiner; daughter, Allie Shields and son, Christian Sharpsteen. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 3 p.m. at Genoa Community Church with a reception following at the Carson Valley Inn at the Donegal meeting room.

Condolences to family and friends, Sabel will be remembered she is legendary in Hollywood and wherever else. I knew her long ago and she was never forgotten with fond memories.

My sweet angel Sabel. I have loved her for 36 years. She brought life to a girl who had none at the time. She will always be in my heart. My love to her family and all her friends. I have loved Sabel for 36 years since I was 12 years old. I dont think I would ever have survived my teen years without her. She saved my life. She will always be in my heart - ALWAYS. I was lucky to have be in contact with her. My heart soared. It still does when I look back at my note and pictures. But my heart is broken. She was one of a kind and there will never be another Sabel Starr. My love to her family. My prayers are with you. Yeah a piece of my heart is gone but that warm feeling that is still there.....that's Sabel. I know that for sure!!!!!!!!!

I never knew Miss shields personally but she is well respected by the fans she has.
For me as I see her she had alot of respect for herself as a person thats what I like about her she was very private with her life which is wonderful .

Sabel has thousands of loyal fans that love her very much. She was an icon and trendsetter to those who have followed her from the early 70's, and also to many younger girls (and guys) who know her from Myspace fan sites, and from 1973 Star magazine. Her legacy will live on. It would be wonderful if her kids write a book about her!

I've known Sabel for many years, we worked together at the Lake before she left headed down to the valley to join CVI. Even though through-out the years we didn't see each other often; when I would see her she always had that big bright smile. Sabel had the gift of sharing her sense of humor and smile with so many. I know she will be greatly missed.

Dear Bill,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember playing golf with you and Sable. She is the one who inspired the term "Sable Par." To this day, Gary writes that on the scorecard for me! We will miss her. She's probably teeing it up as I am writing this.
