His passion for Horses was also apparent as he built a magnificent barn and home in the Carson Valley for his horses which he enjoyed showing and was the proud owner of General Custer, five time World Champion in Fine Harness.

Steve was preceeded in death by two beloved wives and a son and is survived by his daughter Sheri Lynn Bourne Avis.

Steve always maintained his quick wit and his zest and quest for Life.
