Steve was a friend. He was also so much more than that. He one of a kind human being with a heart of gold. He was our Rock of Gibraltar in our family's time of need. We will miss his kind soul and sweet spirit.

To say that I am heartbroken and lost is an understatement. Steve was there to guide me after my husband's death a few years ago, and rented me a car when my own vehicle broke down. Recently he was again helping me, and had become more than just my attorney - he was my dear friend. He brought me a complete Thanksgiving feast when I was sick and not able to provide it in November, showing up at my door with his arms full of grocery bags. He would tell me tales of his life on the phone and try to make me laugh when I was down. I will miss him greatly.

It is with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Stephen Scheerer. Stephen was a great attorney coupled with deep compassion for his fellow human beings. My thoughts are with his family and friends. The world lost a bright light with his passing.
