Steve Pintar Obituary

Steve Pintar passed peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at William Bee Ririe Hospital in Ely, NV. at the age of 89 years young. He was born March 18, 1921 at Bassett Lake, outside of McGill, NV. to Marko and Roza (Brockovich) Pintar.
Steve served during World War II as an Aviation Machinist Mate until his honorable discharge on November 10, 1945. He worked for Kennecott Copper in McGill, NV. then he worked for the Nevada Department of Wildlife as a Conservation Officer. Later he worked as a Fish and Game Agent. He retired from Fish and Game on March 31, 1981.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years Margie; three brothers Nick Pintar, Eli Pintar, and Mike Krmpotic and his four sisters Baby Girl Pintar, Mary (Card) Trull, Ann (Andy) Morley and Mildred (John) Krmpotic.
Steve is survived by his four sons Robert (Gayle) Bartlett, Michael (Sidney) Pintar, Marko Pintar and Joseph "Jody" (Kerri) Pintar all of Ely, NV.; daughter Rebecca "Becky" (Joe) Humbert of Malta, MT.; thirty grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Graveside Memorial Services were held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 with Fr. Paul Oye officiating. The family requests contributions be made to Home Health Services of Nevada, 685 Lyons Avenue, Ely, NV 89301.

Our condolences to the Pintar and Krmpotic families on the passing of Steve. My father John Pintar was a cousin of Steves. Although I met Steve only once, I heard many good stories about him.
