Steven Wayne "Nichols" Anderson

Steven Wayne "Nichols" Anderson met with his heavenly family peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2016 with the love of his life, Regina by his side. He was 60 years of age. Steven was born on July 20, 1955, in San Jose, California. He relocated to Turlock, California with his family where he resided for many years. Steven also lived in Lake Tahoe and Reno for several years and had moved back to Reno in October of 2014 to live out his "golden years". He is survived by his mother: Peggie Anderson of Turlock, CA; two sisters; Cynthia Carlson of Winnemucca, NV and Cathy Caulton of Turlock, CA. He is preceded in death by his brother Charles Anderson in 2009. Steven is also survived by his four children: Elizabeth Anderson, Amanda Anderson, Steven Anderson and Christopher Anderson all of whom reside in Oklahoma City, OK; as well as 6 grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family knew Steven as a loving son, devoted dad, brother and uncle. Others knew him as a loyal friend, co-worker, businessman and volunteer firefighter. He was known for offering himself to all, selflessly. Those whose lives were touched by such a devout man were gifted. Those who called him friend, graced. He was also known to all as a fun-loving, high-spirited individual who "lived life to the fullest" and who had the most beautiful "smile" that would light up the room. Steven was a tanker truck transporter for over 15 years till he moved to Reno, Nevada the place he referred to as "home". He used to say that the skies in Reno and Tahoe are such a beautiful blue which was his favorite color. In honor of Steven's favorite color, we ask that individuals wear shades of blue to the funeral. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 with Memorial services following at 11:00 a.m. at Walton's Funeral Home, 875 W. Second Street, Reno and burial following at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery at 2700 N. Virginia Street, Reno immediately following.
