Vern Foss Obituary

Bob Foss was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he attended grade school and high school. After serving in the Army as a paratrooper, he attended the University of Minnesota, where he received a BA degree in Journalism. Bob spent 35 years working in the insurance industry as an underwriter, adjuster, appraiser, and casualty claims manager. He was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, Kerak Shrine, and Ben Ali Shrine.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carole, daughters Shelley (Jeremy) Nork and Suzanne (Kevin) LeVezu, 5 grandsons, Nick Bietz, Riley and Avery Nork and Chris and Cameron LeVezu.
We would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at Life Care Center who took such good care of Bob for the past two years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shiners' Hospital of Northern California, 2425 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, California, 95817, Attention Development Office. There will be a Service at Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary, 2155 Kietzke Lane at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 24th, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Miners Village Club House.

We remember all the good times we had at the U of M and the many Thanksgivings we celebrated together at Anderson's cabin.

Carole and family, we are very sorry to hear about Bob, but know he is in a better place, and free from his recent struggles. He was a lucky guy to have such a wonderful family caring for him.

Fifty years of friendship. Uof M. Driving to California. San Francisco. Best Man. Raising families together. Friday night pizza and bridge. Camping, Tahoe ski trips. Memorial weekends, Thanksgivings at the cabin. New Year's Eves. Fishing trips. Golf trips. Air races. Seprated by miles. Never forgotten. Always in our hearts. 50 years of memories.
