Wayne Welty Obituary
Wayne John Welty of Sparks, NV passed away recently at the age of 66. He was born in Oakland, CA on September 9, 1948 to parents Wayne Joesph Welty and Oneida Smith Welty. His father was a decorated Naval Aviation Officer who served in three wars. Consequently the family was stationed at various U.S. Military locations over the course of the years.
Wayne John was very knowledgeable about major sports and sports history in general. He was well versed when it came to classic and modern cars and their engines as well as being a student of major politics and Presidential history, although never voted. International history and major wars were of great interest to Wayne John as were also his beloved neighborhood blue jays that he fed and watered daily. He was greatly influenced in most matters by the opinions and philosophies of his father. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Kevin James Welty. He is survived by Aunts Pauline Lambert and Delores Garrett, uncles Robert Welty and William Welty as well as numerous cousins. He will be missed by all.
