Renee and I were friends most of our lives. We met in Kindergarten at Mt. Rose Elementary, had great days at B.D. Billinghurst Jr. High and Wooster High until Renee left in our sophomore year to take her GED and Civil Service exam and onward to her career at Social Security.

We stayed in touch sporadically while she was in CA and by the time she was back in Reno I had moved to Florida but we saw one another whenever I came home which is typically a couple of times a year.

These past couple of years has been rough ones for Renee and I began to pray to God for a miracle or for mercy. David, Renee's husband, took loving care of her right up until the end. I will miss my friend but I know we will see one another again. I will always think of her whenever I hear the songs "Our House" by CSN&Y or "Wild World" by Cat Stevens and I will forever remember her as a skinny teen with wavy hair, dungarees and a leather choker.

Here's to a wonderful, kind and caring woman. Thank you for being in my life.

Renee and I were the best of friends in second grade at Mt. Rose school. We loved Barbies, the Beatles and our big sisters who were also friends. We sporadically kept in touch through the years but to me she will forever be that sweet little seven year who helped make my childhood a happy one. She was lovely. My deepest condolences to her husband and family
