Ellen Ewton Obituary
Ellen Faye Ewton, 80, of Dayton, passed away at Golden Years Retirement Resort in Spring City, on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023.
She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and taught in the school system for over 39 years. She will be greatly missed.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents Roscoe Daniel Ewton and Mattie G. Dunn Ewton; brother, Jack Ewton; and nephew, Terry Joe Ewton.
She is survived by her brother, James "Jim" Douglas Ewton of Dayton; sisters, Judy Ewton and Lou King, both of Dayton; niece, Kristen Lynn Dixon; and nephew, Eric Lee (Gayle) Ewton.
A funeral service was held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Cecil Baxter and Herald Dixon officiating. Interment followed at Spring City Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, from 12 noon until the time of service.
