Jean Miller age 82 of Spring City died on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at her residence. She was born on January 20, 1943 in Roda, Virginia to the late Steve and Ora Lawson Pennington and has lived in this area since 1971. Jean graduated high school in Newark, Ohio. She spent her working career as a banker, retiring from First Bank after many years. Jean loved reading westerns and painting portraits. She was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church in Grandview, Tennessee.
Jean was also preceded in death by her brothers Earl and Herman Pennington, her sisters Gladys Seale and Ellen Turner, and her infant siblings Lois and Eleanor Pennington.
Survivors include her husband Larry Miller of Spring City, Tennessee; her sister Stella Tittle of Spring City, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Earl Smith and Rev. Aaron Revis officiating. Interment will follow in Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Floral arrangements will be appreciated by the family or if you prefer, donations may be made to Johnson Chapel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 751, Spring City, TN 37381 in her memory.

Jean was a unique person. You never had to guess where you stood with her, she told it like it was.
She was talented, smart, witty and a good samaritan with an upbeat positive attitude. She will be missed.
