Walter Schuckert Obituary

Dr. Walter Adam Schuckert

Born: June 27, 1933 | Died: April 27, 2025

On April 27, 2025, Dr. Walter Adam Schuckert was escorted into Heaven. He lived his earthly life for this day, and now, just as Heaven rejoices, we too celebrate-he is in the presence of our Savior! Psalm 16:11 tells us, "…in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." He finished his race, and he ran it well. We are so proud of him. Well done, Dad. You were a good and faithful servant.

We will miss him immensely. He leaves behind a footprint so large it cannot be filled-but more importantly, he leaves a legacy that pointed others to Jesus like no one else we've known. Dad measured the success of each day by whether he had the opportunity to tell someone about Jesus. So, it wouldn't feel right to share the news of his passing without also sharing the message he loved most. Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." John 3:16 proclaims, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." And our dad's favorite verse, John 3:17, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Dr. Schuckert served as an evangelist for the past 20 years. Prior to that, he spent 18 years as the pastor of Truth Baptist Church which merged with and became First Baptist Church of Kenmore.

Dr. Walter Schuckert is preceded in death by his wife Maxine Pearl Schuckert, his brothers Herman, John, Raymond, Russell, Robert, Carl, Joseph, newborn and his sister Martha.

He is survived by his four children, Joy (John) Kramer of Indiana, Pam (Randy) Boggess of Tennessee, Dale (Siri) Schuckert of Virgina, and PJ (Josh) Hames of Georgia, his sisters Rosemary Evans and Frieda Peden, twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Bogles Chapel Baptist Church in Evensville, Tennessee, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. and a Celebration of Life service followed at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025. A graveside service followed immediately after the church service in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church's mission fund and sent to Bogles Chapel Baptist Church, 4304 Old Dixie Highway, Evensville, TN 37332.
