Dewayne Daniels Obituary

Dewayne Junior Daniels, 80, of Rice Lake passed peacefully July 13, 2024, at Cambridge Senior Living. He was born August 25, 1943, in Sarona, WI to Orin and Lottie (Messersmith) Daniels. He was married in Rice Lake, WI on July 9, 1966, to Margy Wiesner who preceded him in death on July 5, 2006.

Dewayne worked at the American Excelsior Company until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, working on his toys, and working with horses. Dewayne loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the occasional Little Debbie Oatmeal Crème Pie.

He is survived by his daughters: Marette (Duane) Stoeklen, Melissa (Rock) Holmquist, and Melinda (Trevor) Zurn; grandchildren: Kayla Secore, Jerry Stoeklen, Hailey Cress, Lainey Wilson, Kami Zurn, and KC Zurn; great grandchildren: Lillian, Emmett, and Quinton; sister, Ethel; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Margy Wiesner; parents, Orin and Lottie Daniels; siblings: Orin Jr., Charlotte, Louie, Lillian, Robert, David, and Rosie.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 17, 2024, at Lakeview Cemetery in Hertel with Chaplin Jeff Elmquist officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Hertel. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the funeral home.

Skinner Funeral Home of Rice Lake is serving the family.
