Ronald Wilder, 79, of Rice Lake, passed away on May 6, 2023, at his home while under the care of Marshfield Medical Home Health & Hospice.
Ron was born to Ralph and (E) Jane Wilder in Jasper County Indiana. He graduated from Remington Indiana High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. Upon discharge he obtained his credentials and established his plumbing HVAC business which he ran for 25 years. At age 40 he married Sharyl and adopted her three children: (Amanda) Mandi (Kevin) Lengyel, Leann (Phil) Wilder, Ryan (Lisa) Wilder. Ron moved his family to Wisconsin in 1993 for his job in sales. He had made many good friends through the years through church, fishing, hunting and the 27 years of WeePakum In-2. Many good memories and friends made at that cabin.
Ron is survived by his wife, Sharyl; sisters, Nancy Hamman (Nappanee, Indiana), Peg Washer (Ft Wayne, Indiana); brother, Jerry (Vickie) Wilder (Birchwood, Wisconsin); grandsons, Jacob and Ben Wilder. Bonus grandchildren, Austin Lengyel, Jacob, Karli and Molli Hiber. Many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Including God daughter, Arielle Watson (Kent City, Michigan).
He was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Jane; brothers-in-law, Bob Hamman, Russ Wasner; cousin, Mike Merkel in Viet Nam and bonus grandson, James Lengyel.
Ron was a fun loving, kind and generous man who will be missed by many including his companion Kooper.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
