Warren (Marty) Martiny, age 87, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday October 21, 2023 at Christian Community Home in Hudson. Warren was born May 8, 1936 to Roman and Ethel Martiny in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Warren was married to Judith Bublitz on July 27, 1957 in Milwaukee and they remained together until her passing on December 31, 2021.
Warren served in the US Navy aboard the USS Amberjack submarine, and was proud of his military service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always in search of the big buck and where the walleye were biting. Upon retirement, Marty and Judy moved to Birchwood, Wisconsin where they loved hosting family at the lake, spending time on the ATV trails and snowmobiling with their friends. Warren will be remembered for his witty replies and mechanical expertise, but especially for his love of family: his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his wife Judy, who he missed terribly since her passing.
He will be dearly missed by his children Ken (Jan), Cheryll (Jack) Jorgensen; grandchildren Brent, Bryce (Beth), Winter (Jen), August (Maria), Bennett (Alexis), Justin (Angela), Katie; and great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at noon, Saturday October 28, with visitation at 11am, at O'Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson. Private urn placement will take place at a later date, in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, next to his wife.
