Danielle Marie Richards

Danielle Marie Richards, 38, of East Greenwich, passed away on July 14, 2024. Born in Providence, she was the cherished daughter of Brian Richards and Diane (Iannucci) Richards of North Kingstown. Danielle was a beloved sister to Christian Richards and his wife Margaret OConnor, Zachary Richards and his wife Amanda, and Mackenzie Richards and his wife Brittany and she was the beloved granddaughter of Amalia Iannucci. Danielle was predeceased by her grandparents William Iannucci and Roland and Eileen Richards She was adored by her grandparents, niece and nephews, aunts, uncles, her close-knit group of cousins, extended family and neighbors.

Danielle leaves behind her fianc and longtime partner, Henry Whitford of East Greenwich, and her stepdaughters, Mackenzie and Hannah Whitford, whom she loved dearly. She was the light of Henry and the girls lives. She cherished every moment and new experience with her family, from adventures in the New Hampshire mountains to the attractions of Florida.

A remarkable listener, Danielle always offered love and support to everyone in her life, whether they were family, friends, or strangers.

She had a smile that could light up any room and a contagious laughter imbued with kindness and affection. Mackenzie, Hannah, their friends and all the neighborhood children found welcoming warmth and maternal support from Danielles presence.

Danielle most recently excelled as the showroom manager at California Closets, where her passion for decor and organization shone brightly. She also volunteered as an usher at the Providence Performing Arts Center, indulging her love for musicals and connecting with patrons. Danielle found particular meaning assisting those in her life who were struggling with addiction, substance abuse and related health challenges, offering nonjudgemental support.

A Requiem Eucharist to celebrate Danielle's life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford. Burial will follow in the Old Narragansett Church Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to follow at the St. Paul's greenway and Parish House. In honor of Danielle's vibrant personality, attendees are encouraged to wear bright and fun colors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danielle's memory to the Loaves and Fishes Fund, care of St. Paul's Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford, RI 02852.

Danielle, your love, laughter, and kindness will forever live on in our hearts. Rest peacefully dear daughter, sister, friend, fiance, and mother.
