Shirley B. Singleton

1926 - 2018

Shirley B. (Jacobson) Singleton, 92, of Marlborough, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Royal Wayland Nursing Home from pneumonia and declining health. She was the wife of the late Jamie Singleton, who died in March of 2001. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Lynne and Jeffrey Mower of Centerville, MA, and Kathy and William Whitney of Marlborough, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and her sisters and their families, Harriette Laboissonniere and Carol Silva.
She was also the sister of the late Eileen Dubois. Shirley was a long-time member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, where she served on the Parish Council and loved singing in the choir. She served as President of the former Marlborough Womans Club, 1990-1992, and had been a member of the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough since 1989. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season with her family.
Visiting hours were held on Thursday, August 30 at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. Funeral services were followed at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 537 Bolton St., Marlborough.
