Virginia Sosnicki Obituary

COVENTRY, RI- Virginia L. Sosnicki, 76, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 peacefully at home with her loving husband of 50 years, William Bill Sosnicki, by her side.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William Sr. and Claire (McElroy) Dorsey.

Virginia spent her 39 year career at Ocean State Credit Union where she was the Chief Operating Officer before retiring in 2023. She loved travelling with her husband, especially many trips to Punta Cana, D.R. Ginny enjoyed spending time in her garden, especially tending to her peonies and watching her hummingbirds. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping, and having lunch with friends. Above all, Virginia loved hosting parties for her family.

She was the loving mother of Ginnylee Moyen, her longtime partner Kenneth Paul,

and Rene Moyen, his wife Stephanie. Adoring grandmother of Simone, Michael, and Giovanna. She was the loving sister of Janice Guindon, Judy Wild, Jody Boucher, Jackie Corea, James Jimmy Dorsey, and the late William Billy Dorsey Jr. Ginny was also the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are respectfully private.
