CONNIE BRUNSON Obituary

CONNIE BRUNSON Aurora, Utah: Our beloved mother, grandma, aunt, sister, friend, and neighbor, Connie Jean Henrie Brunson, age 81, passed away on May 3, 2025 at Gunnison Valley Hospital. Connie was born in Richfield on December 13, 1943 to Francis Verl and Dessie Kristine Swalberg Henrie. She attended Piute High School, graduating with the class of 1962, attended Utah State University, and graduated from Sevier Valley Tech, majoring in business. She met the love of her life, Clark Wendall Brunson and they were sealed for time and all eternity on April 4, 1975 in the Manti Temple. Together they raised their two children, Clint and Monica. They were dedicated to each other until Clark's passing on November 21, 2017. Connie was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings, including serving a mission to Ontario, Canada from 1965-67. Her favorite was being a primary teacher to the 4 and 5 year olds. She also enjoyed crocheting, 4-wheeling in the mountains, genealogy, reading a wide variety of books, painting, gardening, and serving others. Her love of children and serving others was displayed in the special love she had for her grandchildren. She treasured each one of them and would light up every time she saw them. She was a caring mom and grandma and will be greatly missed by her family, who look forward to seeing her again. Connie is survived by her children: Clint (Jodie) Brunson of Ogden; Monica (Neal) Stevens of Logan; her sisters: Donna (Roger) Waters of Richfield; Kathy (Boyd) Knight of West Jordan; grandchildren: Averi, Tate, and Cannon Brunson, all of Ogden; Vaughn Stevens of Logan. She is preceded in death by her husband: Clark Wendall, her parents: Francis Verl & Dessie Kristine Henrie, and her siblings: McVoy Barben, Dorthy Henrie, and Francis Verl. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the Aurora LDS Ward Chapel, 85 North Main Street, where friends may call for viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. the morning of the services.
