DIANNE RAISOR Obituary
DIANNE RAISOR
JANUARY 19, 1956 - APRIL 19, 2025
Dianne Elizabeth Lambson Raisor passed away on April 19, 2025 following complications after surgery. Her passing was unexpected, but we are grateful for our sure knowledge that this life is not the end and we will see her again someday.
Dianne was born January 19, 1956, the second child of Fount and LaVee (Kitty) Lambson. She grew up with her brother Ken and two younger sisters, Geri and Kathy. Dianne had a wonderful childhood filled with fishing, camping, road trips, grandparents, and summers in Minersville, Utah with her "twin" cousin Grace. Dianne attended West Kearns Elementary, Kennedy Jr. High, and Kearns High school where she was on the drill team and competed with the marching band. Their band trip to Calgary was a highlight of her younger years. She was popular, smart, and excelled in everything she did.
When Dianne was 15 she traveled to BYU to attend a youth conference with her ward. While there she met a handsome BYU Freshman named David Raisor, and the rest is history. It was love at first sight and despite their young age, they were ready to take on the world-together. They were married June 15, 1973 in Kearns, Utah. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on March 21, 1975. Their tiny daughter Dawn was sealed to them at that time, and they went on to have Cami, Cory, Jeff, Bryan, Laura, and Cheryl. Having seven children in ten years is no small thing and their hands were full, but they both worked tirelessly to take care of their beautiful family, filling their home with love, peace, faith, and never-ending support for one another.
They became the grandparents of 26 of the cutest, smartest, most talented grandchildren there ever were. They loved being grandparents-maybe even more than being parents! They never missed anything their grandkids were part of. In recent years four great-grandsons have joined the fun, with a great-granddaughter expected this July. Grandma Raisor (Nana) loved spending time with the little boys and always made them feel so special. They will all miss her.
When David got sick, Dianne became his full-time caregiver. She cherished the opportunity, difficult as it was at times. They spent every minute together for several years, and while retirement did not look the way they expected, they enjoyed those sacred years together. David died in September 2020 and Dianne missed him every single minute they were apart. We are grateful to know they are reunited and will be together forever.
Dianne was a disciple of Jesus Christ and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings, one of her favorite being Stake Primary President when she was just 25 years old. She also supported David in his many callings, and together they served a service mission to the Salt Lake County Women's Correctional Facility. She also served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple.
Dianne's life was filled with immense joy, but also trials. Her daughter Laura's unexpected passing in 2013 was very difficult, but she clung to her faith, gathered her family close, and pressed forward heroically, raising Laura's two children and loving them as if they were her own. She was so proud of her family. She found great joy in spending time with them and created family traditions that will last for generations. She loved every holiday and worked hard to make them special.
Dianne is survived by her children Dawn Ramsey (Dan), Cami Greer (Ryan), Cory Raisor (Crystal), Jeff Raisor (Trynda), Bryan Raisor (Krystal), Cheryl Evans (Mike), her sister Geri Turley (Dave), 26 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends who love her dearly. She is preceded in death by her eternal sweetheart David, daughter Laura, parents Fount and LaVee (Kitty) Lambson, brother Ken Lambson and sister Kathy Lambson.
We love you, mom! Give dad and Laura a hug from us. Thank you for being the best mom we could ever ask for.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the former Lake Ridge 9th Ward building in Magna Utah.
