Greg Rowley Obituary
Greg Rowley NEPHI Gregory Steven Rowley, 53, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2023, on a trail in Sedona, Arizona, while biking with his boys Jay and Jacob. He will be missed by his family who love and adore him. Greg was born Aug. 15, 1969, in Provo, to Colleen and Steven Dee Rowley. He is the oldest of seven children. He was raised in Richfield. His family loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, music, sports, hunting and being together. Greg served a mission for the LDS church in New Zealand where he spent most of his time in the Cook Islands. He met and married his sweetheart, Jennifer Anderson in the Manti temple while attending Snow College. Greg graduated from Utah State University and Wichita State University with a degree in physical therapy. Greg and Jen lived in Burns, Oregon; and Ephraim, Utah; before settling in Nephi, where they have lived since 1998. He has touched many lives as he has coached youth sports, supported the high school sports teams, and been a mentor for the work experience program offered at Juab High School. He served on the Nephi City Council for twelve years and was very active in his church. He was the bishop of the Nephi 8th ward at the time of his passing, but his favorite calling was being the ward organist. Greg has worked the last 27 years at CVMC. When he came to Nephi in 1998, he was the only physical therapist in town. He was very instrumental in growing the physical therapy department to what it is today. There are countless stories of Greg showing up to diagnose and help those who were hurt. He wouldn't go anywhere without his blue bag. Whether showing up at someone's home, in the clinic or at a sporting event, Greg would always be ready to help. The true center of Greg's life was his wife Jennifer, and the six children they raised. He talked excitedly of their successes and was quick to sacrifice for their benefit. His love was profound, and it manifested itself in his work ethic and his desire to give his family the whole world. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Rowley; children, Jeff (Kelly), Jared (Breanna), Jackson, Ellie, Jay, and Jacob; granddaughter, Belle; parents, Steve and Colleen Rowley; siblings, Brian (Emily), Kevin (Jeanette), Trent (Megan), Daniel (Jenny), Sheri, and Janell (Darrell); and many nieces and nephews. His family will dearly miss him, but they are comforted by the knowledge of the plan of salvation and the hope that they will be together again. The funeral service will be held at the Nephi stake center, 351 North 100 West, Nephi, Thursday, April 20, at 11 a.m. The viewing will be held at the Church on Wednesday, April 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. and then Thursday, prior to the service from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery.
