David Woods Obituary
Dave resided in Ridgway most of his life and was a member of the Hallton Church. He was a member of the Christian Music Group, Crosswalk, who cut an album together and he was the originator of a Christian Group called Baseball Buddies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Ridgway Rifle Club. He had a soft spot for birds and dogs and believed the journey of life is better traveled with a dog. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School Class of 1964 and Clarion University. He had been employed by Johnsonburg Area High School as a School Teacher for 35 years. He then was ordained a Pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He served as Pastor at the Boone Mountain Emmanuel Church in Sabula for 6 1/2 years. He also had David Woods Creative Photo & Sound and Krazy Kat DJ Kompany.
He is survived by his wife Joyce L. Woods of Ridgway, 1 daughter Connie L. Woods of Ridgway, 1 son David C. (Bethany) Woods of Erie, 3 grandsons Christian D. Woods of Ridgway, Joshua D Woods of Erie, and Kaleb T. Woods of Erie, 1 sister Linda (Ray) Yetzer of St. Marys, 4 nephews, and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Robert Woods.
A Celebration of Life for David A. Woods will be held at the Hallton Church Bible Training Center on Evergreen Drive, Ridgway, on Sunday Evening, January 16, 2022, at 6:30 PM. Officiating will be Ronald Burkett, Pastor of the Hallton Church. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Ridgway YMCA. Joyce. Dave was always my favorite teacher and our junior play (Ten Little Indians) was my favorite high school experience. We walked different paths in later years but I will always value him as a friend. I am so sorry for your loss.

Joyce, Dave, Connie, Josh, Caleb, and Chris,
Our hearts are breaking for this sudden and unexpected loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. Dave's joy and confidence in God give us confidence in his peaceful rest, however, moving forward without him will be painful.
