Linda A. Krise

1943 - 2024

Linda A. Krise, 81, of Sheeley Road, Kersey, passed away peacefully on her birthday at her home on Sunday, October 13, 2024, following a brief illness.

She was born on October 13, 1943 in Kersey, PA, a daughter of the late John and Evadna Ninnis Hedberg.

On October 21, 1964 at St. Mark's Church in Emporium, she married the late James Krise, who preceded her in death on September 21, 1976.

Linda was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1961. She was a member of St. Boniface Church, where she also enjoyed volunteering with Friday fish frys. She always enjoyed walking and riding her bike, and loved nothing more than trips to Colorado. She never turned down the chance to go shopping, and will be remembered for her infectious smile, her zest for life, and the love she had for her orange Subaru Baja. In the summers, she enjoyed volunteering her time helping at the park. Most of all, she cherished her family and loved spending time with them.

She is survived by four children; Justine "Dusty" (Dave) Dollinger of Kersey, Mark (Jolene) Krise of Ridgway, Kelly (Tim) Schaefer of Elizabeth, CO, and Ronny (Stacey) Krise of Kersey; by her seven beloved grandchildren; Michael (May) Dollinger, Marisa (Jeff) Passerrello, Ryan Schaefer, Emily Schaefer, Damon Krise, Derek Krise, and Cody (Heather) Mosier, by three great-grandchildren; Ayden, Adalyn, and Lainey, and was anticipating the birth of her fourth great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers; Ronald "Buddy" Hedberg and Robert "Bobby" Hedberg.

A Memorial Service for Linda A. Krise will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Fr. Kevin Holland officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the Krise Funeral Home in Kersey on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Penn Highlands Community Nurses Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
