Mary Jane Wright

1936 - 2022

Mary Jane Wright, 85, of Kemmer Road, Kersey, died at her home on Saturday, August 27, 2022, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Ridgway on October 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Alfred and Regina O'Connell Herzing.
On January 28, 1961, she married the love of her life, Lynn L. Wright, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2021.
Mary Jane was a graduate of St. Leo High School and a member of St. Boniface Church. She was a simple country woman who spent many years working with her husband in the fields of their family farm, having been blessed with more than 60 years of marriage. Armed with the ability to befriend anyone, Mary Jane especially enjoyed water aerobics and the friends she made there. They often enjoyed going to breakfast afterwards. She adored her family and loved cooking and baking for them and always enjoyed hosting big Sunday dinners.
In her free time, she enjoyed painting ceramics and spending time with her family.
Mary Jane is survived by two daughters: Mary Lynne Bellotti and her husband Ed of Kersey, and Kerry Neureiter and her husband Tom of Kersey, one son, Scott Wright and his wife Christa of Kersey, eight grandchildren, Shannon Neureiter, Scott Wright, Brandi Bogacki, Beau Bellotti, Mackenzie Zilcosky, Macy Herbstritt, Kaitlynn Neureiter, Sarah Krise, Devin Constable, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jane Wright will be celebrated at St. Boniface Church, 335 Main Street, Kersey, PA, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Holland, OSB, as Celebrant.
Visitation will be held at St. Boniface Church on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
