William (Bill) Reaver Obituary

Remembering William (Bill) David Reaver AND celebrating a life of lasting memories.

On Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, Bill's soul went to the loving arms of Jesus. Bill's loving wife and best friend, Janet, of 61 years, was at his side. Three of their close and loving friends were there by his side as well. He slipped away quietly in the comfort of his home in Live Oak.

Bill had a battle with cancer and passed away due to surgery complications. He was 79 years old. His witty sense of humor, love for Jesus and sharing that love with others will be sorely missed. He enriched many lives and touched many hearts. We will forever cherish the heartfelt memory of him.

Bill is survived by his wife, Janet, of Live Oak.

Three stepchildren preceded him in death: Terry L. Crawford (Ringrose), Robin L. Crawford and John R. Crawford.

Three living children are: April J. Reaver (Haskell), of South Carolina; Laura A. Reaver of Maryland; and Billie Jo Reaver (Bishoff) of Maryland.

Bill's most recent job was for Suwannee Valley Transit as a bus driver. He loved his job and enjoyed the folks that he encountered. He will be missed for his respect and kindness to all the passengers.

Bill grew up and lived many years in Maryland. Once he relocated to Florida, he was a full-fledged Floridian; he loved Florida and the people greatly.

A celebration of his life and his joyous Homecoming to God will be held at Suwannee Springs Free Will Baptist Church, located at 3801 US 129, in Live Oak, Fla., on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. All are welcome to the celebration!
