Anna Bohannon Derrick

Anna Bohannon Derrick, 62, of Harriman, formerly of Cookeville, died Monday night, Oct. 29, 2012, at her residence.
She was a native of Cookeville and was a daughter of the late Roy Hobert Sr. and Helen Scarlet Bohannon. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Hobert Bohannon Jr.; and a nephew, Jason Bohannon.
She was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Putman County High School and a member of Communication Workers of America. She was associated with BellSouth as an electronic technician, retiring after 37 years.
She is survived by her husband, Steven G. Derrick, Harriman, formerly of Athens; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeff Gadd, Hixson, Adam and Christie Derrick, Athens, and Seth and Sabrina Derrick, Athens; five granddaughters, Joselyn Gadd, Brianna Carroll, Savannah Cross, Tiffany Cross and Kathrine Derrick; four grandsons, Jason Derrick, Chris Derrick, Riley Derrick and Curt Jackson; one brother, Carl Bohannon, Cookeville; and mother-in-law, Anna Mae Humphreys Derrick, Athens.
A funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Smith Funeral and Cremation Services chapel, Athens, with Bro. Ken Isham officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at McMinn Memory Gardens, Athens. The family received friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Gadd, Curt Jackson, Adam Derrick, Seth Derrick, Kristin Jackson and Charlie Womac.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Faye Forgety, 120 County Road 447, Athens, TN 37303.
