Brian Hooks Obituary
Brian was born Dec. 28, 1983, in Oak Ridge. Brian was born and raised in Dutch Valley and graduated from Clinton High School in the class of 2002. He worked construction with Braden Framing, and worked for Lamar Outdoor Advertising. Brian attended Big Mountain Baptist Church. He loved dirt track racing, hunting, playing Bingo and fishing. He also loved outdoor sports with his kids. Most of all, Brian loved spending time with his family, joking, laughing and coaching his daughter.
Mr. Hooks is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Hooks; grandfather, George Hooks; grandparents, Dealis and Billie Taylor; and nieces, Megan Elizabeth Stringfellow and Angel Craig.
He is survived by his wife, Kristie Hooks, Oliver Springs; his children, Madison and Mason Hooks, Oliver Springs; father, Jackie Hooks, Dutch Valley; grandmother, Imogene Hooks; brothers, Anthony Hooks and wife Candice, Oakdale, and John Hooks and wife Brooke, Oliver Springs; by sisters, Lisa Stringfellow and husband Brett, Powell, Trisha Seeber and husband Chris, Clinton, and Becky Craig and husband Jimmy, Dutch Valley; and father- and mother-in-law, Wayne and Melissa Braden. Brian is also survived by nieces and nephews, Zach and McKayla Stringfellow, Cody and Kindall Seeber, Selena, Trevin, Skyliah and Corbin Hooks, Tracy, Sarah, Shawn and Tyler Craig, Brook and Colton Hooks, and Riley Grace Braden; brother-in-law, Chris Braden and wife Natalie, Oliver Springs; and a host of family, friends and close friends, Howie Bean, Little Bobby Crass, Darrell Mitchell and Dylan Roberts.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Premier Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at Premier Sharp Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at Little Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Gregg Overton and Mike Hooks will officiate the services. An online register is available at www.sharpfh.com

My brother Brian was the most Loving, compassionate, funny and the most humble guy there was. He was Adored and Loved by so many! I would like to Thank Everyone who came out to show there respect to Our Family and it was a true testament as to what kind of Human being he truly was! Watching hundreds upon hundreds of people with tears flowing down their faces because they Loved my brother so much touched us so deeply and I personally want to Thank You. We loved Brian, Kristie and Maddie the first time we met them. We'll never forget the laughs we shared and Brian's contagious smile that could light up a room. We're thankful he had a testimony of salvation so we'll see his smile again one day! We'll lift his family and children in prayer for comfort that comes from God alone.
