Christy Brown Duncan

Christy Brown Duncan, 37, of Harriman, passed away, Friday, May 6, 2016, due to an automobile accident.
Mrs. Duncan was born Aug. 13, 1978, in Oak Ridge. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of the Ridge Church of Oak Ridge.
Christy graduated from Oliver Springs High School, class of 1996. Christy received her bachelor's degree of science in social work in 2002. She also was a graduate from the University of Tennessee and received her master's degree from LMU in 2015. She went on to work for the Roane County school system as a social worker.
Christy was a loving wife, mother and sister. She loved spending time with her family, especially going shopping with her stepdaughter and daughter, Megan and Janna. Her whole world was being with Janna.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Davis.
She is survived by her father, Larry Brown of Knoxville; her husband, Chris Duncan; her children, Janna Duncan and Megan Wright; brothers, E.J. Brown and Derek Brown of Knoxville; a sister, Kimberly Seiber of Wartburg; a niece, Allie Seiber; and a nephew, Aiden Seiber.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating. Burial and graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Janna Duncan Scholarship Fund at ORNL Federal Credit Union under Chris Duncan's name.
