Lola Collins Obituary

Lola Belle Collins, 90, of Rockwood, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Renaissance Terrace, Harriman.
Mrs. Collins was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose love of her family showed in the everyday things she did for them. Lola's love also extended to quilting, gardening, canning food and especially growing her beautiful flowers that she attended to with such care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Geline Hale; husband, Lee Roy Collins; son, Ronald Collins; and daughter, Carolyn S. Cooper.
Survivors include sons, Doug Collins, Hammond, Ind., and Donald Collins, Rockwood; son-in-law, David R. Cooper, Rockwood; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, George David Hale, Rockwood; sisters, Barbara Abston and Mary Green, both of Rockwood; and many friends in the Roane County community.
The family will receive friends in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, from the chapel of Evans Mortuary, with the Rev. Tommy Abston officiating. Graveside and interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery, Harriman.
