Terry Humphreys Obituary
He was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church and the FOP.
Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Army and, before retirement, he worked at the Roane County Sheriff's Office, Rockwood City Police Department and the Harriman City Police Department.
He loved fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Humphreys; brother, George (Bill) Humphreys; and father-in-law, Charles Tedder.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Janet Humphreys of Kingston; son, Jeremy Humphreys of Crossville; daughter, Brandi Cofer of Harriman; stepdaughter, Melissa Abell of Nashville; grandchildren, Riley, Jayden and Josie Humphreys, and Cody and Brandon Cofer; great-grandchild, Elijah Cofer; mother, Dora Jones of Rockwood; mother-in-law, Marjorie Tedder of Kingston; sisters, Sharon Johnson, Cathy Belcher and Donna Moore, all of Kingston; brother, Wendell Humphreys of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Rhonda Schatzer of Kingston; brother-in-law, Wayne Tedder of Bentonville, Ark.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Kingston United Methodist Church with the memorial service to follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery with military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 248, Kingston, TN 37763.

Terry was a great man. He has been my other dad for 28 years. I will miss him. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you sis and my extended family in your time of loss. Wishing I wasn't so far away.
