My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Barry and I attended school together and I cannot think of a single day that he didn't have a smile on his face. We were never "Best Friends", but he always treated you like one.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Barry. He was my best friend a few years back. I've never met someone so sweet, kind, funny, and easy to get along with. This is a lesson learned about not staying in touch, even though the thought was there so many times and we lived so close. My prayers are with his daughter, Catie-bug, she was his life, and his family. He will be sadly missed. I dedicate these words from a song, from when we hung out together in 2002, and now under these sad circumstances:
"I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say to make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend"
