Carol STANFORD Obituary

Carol Jean Stanford, 67, of Salem, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. She was born in Salem, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Margaret Robertson Garman and had been an area resident all of her life. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, was employed as a dental assistant for many years, but found most joy in her duties as a wife and homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John E. Stanford; two daughters, Lori D. Johnson and her husband Terry, and Lendi D. Parker. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ivey Adams will officiate. An online guest book is available for family and friends by visiting www.johnmoakey.com.
