Charles Ellis "Charlie" Alford

August 2, 1929 - November 20, 2023

A man who served others, Charles Ellis "Charlie" Alford, age 94, of Daleville, passed away at The Glebe Monday, November 20, 2023 following a long illness.

A celebration of a life well-lived with military honors will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 6 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Pastor Gerri McDaniel officiating. A private burial was conducted at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24018; or to The Glebe Benevolence Fund, C/O The Glebe Retirement Community, 200 The Glebe Boulevard, Daleville, Virginia 24083.
