Christopher Bower Obituary
June 17, 1968 - August 27, 2021
It is with sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Christopher Burwell Bower of Salem, Virginia, on Friday, August 27, 2021. Chris was 53 years old and taken too soon by COVID-19 plus underlying health conditions.
Chris was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Burwell Bower and Brenda Blevins Bower; grandparents, Custis Burwell Bower and Ruby Echols Bower, Frank George Blevins and Pauline Blevins; and uncles, Miles Lotts and Frank Blevins.
Chris is lovingly remembered by surviving members of his family, uncle, Ron Blevins (Linda); aunts, Mary Custis Bower Lotts and Anne Blevins; cousins, Kevin Lotts, Andy Blevins (Laurie), Ryan Blevins, Kim Janney (Sean), and Kelly Pittman (Derrick), a large extended family; his loving girlfriend, Janet Moore Shaffer and her family, countless friends; and his beloved dogs, Skyler, Otis, and Jaxx.
Chris was a lifelong Salem resident, a graduate of Salem High School and Roanoke College, and ran Motorcars Unlimited Sales and Service, LLC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Chris' memory to the Roanoke Valley SPCA.

Heartbroken my "big brother" is gone. He had the biggest heart of anyone I know. The over 3 decades of memories will always be alive. I will miss you greatly C. As will everyone who knew you.
