June 14, 1947 - March 3, 2022
Clyde Wayne Dooley, 74, husband of Iris Moore Dooley, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2022. He was born in Roanoke and was the son of the late Houston W. Dooley Sr. and the late Barbara Gillespie. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Houston W. Dooley Jr., and Herman L. Dooley. He was a 47 years veteran of the airline industry.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he will be missed and remembered by his sons, Jeffrey W. Dooley (Shelby) and Brian Dooley; grandchildren, Tyler Dooley, Wyatt Dooley, Collier Dooley, Parker Dooley, Spencer Dooley; sisters, Barbara Thompson and Joyce Bryant.
A service to honor his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in the Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012. Pastor Greg Zolninger will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12 until 1 p.m. at the mausoleum.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Community Care, Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
