David Allan Comer

November 10, 2021

David Allan Comer, 54, of Christiansburg, passed away on November 10, 2021.

He was a very devoted husband and father – his family was his life. David loved to be outdoors, hunting or fishing and he enjoyed coaching a lot of sports. He also had a special place in his heart for his Moog family. David also served in the Army National Guard.

David was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gordon Comer; brother, Steve Carder; father-in-law, James Tackett; and special friend, Walter Simpkins. He is survived by his wife, Amy Comer; sons, Zach Comer and Jacob Comer; daughter, Taylor Matlick; mother, Joan Comer; and siblings, Ron Carder, Ricky Carder, Kenny Comer, Tom Comer, and Carolyn Phares. He will be missed by his special nieces and nephew, Brianna Crowder, Chelsea Lovern, Crystal Croy, Allison McMurray, Trevor Comer; sister-in-law, Jami Lovern (Kenny); special brother-in-law, Greg Tackett (Debbie); as well as special friends, David Dove and Rick Atkins.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
