Debra McMillion-Weeks Obituary
July 24, 1963 - January 6, 2023
Debra Anne McMillion-Weeks, 59, of Salem, Va., left this earth to be with her heavenly father on Friday, January 6, 2023.
Debbie was a graduate of Virginia Western Community College, and worked for Dental Associates for 20 years. She left there to pursue her passion as a companion for the elderly as well as spend time with her beloved family – especially all her nieces and nephews. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, photography, and her dog, Finn.
Preceding her in death was her father, O. Stanley McMillion.
Her surviving family includes her loving husband of 32 years, Ray Weeks; mother, Nancy McMillion; siblings, Stan and wife, Chas, and Robin and husband, Roger; nephews and nieces, Jon, Cassy, Candy, Morgan, Taylor, Christopher, Kaylee, Paige, and Casey; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Chasity, Joseph, Natalie, Oakley, Jase, McKayla, and Aiden.
The family acknowledges Good Samaritan Hospice and especially Jamie for the compassion, reassurance, and for Debbie's "Christmas Toes;" Kelsea who's calming presence helped with things through the weekends; and Ashley who's baths would provide Debbie the rest she needed.
The celebration of Debbie's life will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Family members and friends may gather from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor David Emeigh officiating.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to The Lampstand of Roanoke, Va. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.

If I could describe Debbie using biblical illustrations (which, as a born-again believer, she most certainly would approve of), I am reminded of the "Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) and the "Woman of Proverbs 31." She possessed a giving, compassionate, caring heart and knew where to find true Wisdom (Romans 11:33-35). Debbie shared this Wisdom with others - including myself. Robin, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I know it has been a difficult time for all of you, your mom, you, Roger, Christopher, Kaylee & Paige. Know you remain in my prayers and thoughts. We hold fast to the promise of our Lord that we WILL be with our loved ones again as children of our beloved Lord. Sending lots of prayers, thoughts of comfort & peace, and many hugs to each of you.

I am sorry to read of Debbie's passing. I worked with Debbie years ago at HoneyTree Early Learning Center. She was so sweet and caring as a teacher and a co-worker. Years later I was happy to re-connect with her at Dental Associates. I'm sure she will be dearly missed! Karen

Such a sweet, kind christian lady!! What a testimony she had. She was an Angel on earth. Praise the LORD, she is with our LORD!! I look forward to seeing you in heaven. You can say 2 Timothy 4:7,8

I worked with Debbie, I have never seen such a creative, inventive and sweet girl. I know God has a plan for us all. I just felt like Debbie did too much here on Earth,to go away. God just needed her talents and sweet voice in heaven. God bless Ray and the weeks family, I'm thinking of you and praying for you during this difficult time.
