Donna L. Murdock, 64, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.
Donna was born on August 30, 1957. She was an avid reader and lover of anything "with four legs and fur." In her retirement she found great delight in volunteering for the Roanoke Valley SPCA. She enjoyed spending time outside viewing beautiful flowers and birds. Donna loved and was very proud of her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, Harold Sheets (Fran); her daughter, Alisa Downey (Ryan); her son, Jason Tyree; her sister, Dawn Tolley; her grandchildren, Cohen Downey and Zavia Tyree; her nephews, Hunter and Dylan Tolley; her husband, Alvin Murdock; and her cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. She will also be dearly missed by her fur children, Chloe and Muffie.
She was recently preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Sheets.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Oakey's South Chapel. A private graveside service will be held for the family at a separate time. Flowers and/or memorial contributions to the Roanoke Valley SPCA are equally welcome. Online condolences may be expressed at www.Oakeys.com.
