Dear Al,
Dru and I would like to offer our deep condolences at your loss. We both have fond memories of Dottie in so many different occasions: many days in Tsukuba, Dru and Dottie's solo trip to the Japan Alps area, many parties where Dottie was a glaciouse hostess... We will keep memories of her healthy days as long as we live and feel we are lucky to have known her. It is our great regret that because of our travel away from Blacksburg we could not personally pay the last respect to her and could not greet you and your family. Al. we are here in Blacksburg, please feel free to drop by when you have a chance.
With our deepest sympathies,
Kazuo and Dru Gotow

We have fond memories of Mrs Abashian from the time we arrived in Blacksburg in the early 80's. She always had a warm smile and helpful hints for newcomers.
In celebration of her life, we send our warmest sympathy to all her family.
