Dorothy ReMine Obituary
December 6, 1926 - April 11, 2021
Dorothy C. ReMine, 94, widow of James H. ReMine, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was born in Hansonville, Va. and was the daughter of the late Willie R. Cumbow and the late Gladys Davis Cumbow. She was also preceded in death by a son, James H. ReMine Jr.; daughter-in-law, Susan ReMine; as well as several brothers and sisters.
Dorothy worked as a Nurse and then chose to remain home and raise her children. She was one of the first members of Shenandoah Baptist Church.
She will be missed and remembered by her sons, John D. ReMine Sr. (Marsha) and Jeff D. ReMine Sr. (Jean); grandchildren, Jason ReMine, Kristen Lyde (Jonathan), John D. ReMine Jr. (Jennifer), Jeremy L. ReMine (Sabrina), Jeffrey D. ReMIne Jr. (Annie), Linden Dooley (Kenny); great-grandchildren, Ashlynn ReMine, Jace ReMine, Cole ReMine, Turner ReMine, Katelyn ReMine, Kohle ReMine, Brock ReMine, Gage ReMine, Wyatt Dooley; brothers, J.W. Cumbow (Anne), Ronald Cumbow (Jane); along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the Bethel Cemetery, 19391 Bethel Road, Abingdon, Virginia with the Rev. Warren King officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service at the graveside.
