Yesterday

Libby, my brother's beloved wife of 68 years and my "sister" for all those years, is remembered as an active, memorable, constant member of our family. Libby was the consummate wife, mother and friend! A stellar cook Libby created a warm and welcoming home.
I treasured our friendship, first established by being a bridesmaid in her and my brother's wedding in 1957. The years we spent living nearby as families are treasured as our 6 children got to know each other more intimately. Our 2 youngest boys became close friends then and everyone remains connected despite farther reaching living sites since. When we were all on the Vineyard gathering memories and having good times, Lib was a "doer" and participator there as well. She loved clamming and gathering mussels from the rocks of Menemsha and making scrumptious seafood dishes! Lib had a lovely singing voice and she and Skip always contributed their singing voices to their church choir. My dearest thoughts to my brother, and us all, as we remember Libby in our ongoing memories! Ann Beardsell Hollister
