Emma Duggan Obituary

December 6, 1930 May 9, 2008 Emma Louise Craft Petty Duggan, 77, of Roanoke, went to live with the LORD on Friday, May 9, 2008, early in the morning. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her husbands, the father of her daughters, William Richard Petty and her second husband, Daniel David Duggan, Sr., preceded her in death. Her brother, Neal Lomax Craft, and sister, Sallie Craft Cash, also precede her in death. Emma is survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Ann Riddleberger and husband, Barry, and Linda Gail Cook and husband, Bobby; stepsons, James Duggan and Michael Duggan; grandchildren, Pam Riddleberger Towe and husband, Trevis, and Brian Riddleberger and wife, Mary; great-grandchildren, Taylor Riddleberger, Ashlynn Riddleberger, and Tyler Towe; sister, Ruth Craft East; brother, Billy Joe Craft, and wife, Ruth; sisters-in-law, Virginia Arlene Craft, Ella Williamson, Mary Jo Deacon, Joyce Thrasher, Rossie Willis, Alice Hartberger; and brother-in-law, Johnny Petty.
We will dearly miss our MOMMA, Sweet Emma, Grandma Petty, Grandma Emmy, Tootsie, until we reunite within the Kingdom of Heaven.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, with Pastor Carol Johnston presiding. The graveside service will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237. The family requests, in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or the Troutville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 11, Troutville, VA 24175.

I am so very sorry that I didn't try to find cousin "Tootsie" earlier in life. My loss because I know that I missed out on knowing a beautiful person. My prayers will be forever for a wonderful devoted family.
