Eugene Trent Obituary

Eugene Franklin Trent, 85, of Natural Bridge, Va., died on Tuesday, June 2, 2010, at Havenwood. Born on February 4, 1925, in Connersville, Ind., he was the son of the late Claude Trent and Anna Durham Trent. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria "Dot" Trent; and a son, Ronald Eugene Trent. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Mr. Trent was a World War II Veteran with Company K 133rd Inf. Reg. 34th Division (Red Bull). Surviving are one daughter, Diana Reese and husband, John, of Kankakee, Ill.; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Cash Trent, of Natural Bridge; two sisters, Juanita Palazzo ,of New Jersey, and Mae Sinko, of Canada; two brothers, Claude Trent Jr. and Paul Trent, both of Indiana; six grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and five greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William M. Thomas and the Rev. George Warden officiating. Burial to follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.

The daughters of the late Tony & Virginia Austin express our sympathy to the family of the late Gene Trent. This is so soon after Gene's wife & our cousin Dot Ferguson Trent. God continue to bless you & keep you in HIS care.
