Evelyn Thornton-Dull Obituary

Evelyn Louvene Thornton-Dull, 70, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on April 18, 1940 to the late Jessie Lee and Ada Roop Turpin and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Bowman Thornton. She would also be preceded in death by a special friend, Marshall Epperly. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Doris M. and William L. Duncan, of Radford; three sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Wanda Thornton, of Christiansburg, Robert L. and Jolene Thornton, of Blacksburg, William R. and Alicia Thornton, of Pulaski; one sister, Nancy Simpkins, of Baltimore, Md.; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special niece, Sissy Epperly, of Christiansburg; boyfriend, William Bouldin. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg.
