I had no idea that Frank has passed.Found the oobit accidentally looking for another more recent one.

Frank and I were good friends and shared many similar philosophies.

Hard to believe that I have been gone from Cobb County now for ten (10) years....and I miss seeing old friends and patients.

My belated condolensces to Barbara and family.

I just learned of Frank's passing, and am so sorry I didn't attend the funeral. I first met Frank in the mid 60s when he visited the Kennesaw home of his UGA classmate (Roger Wilbur). Roger and Frank were both in vet school at UGA. Frank was often a visitor of the Wilbur household. I was close friends with Roger's brother, Danny Wilbur.
Frank and Roger were of the highest caliber. It was neat for a 15 year old to hang out with college age guys without being reminded you were a 15 year old. After vet graduation, Roger left for Texas. Frank must have liked Kennesaw and decided to call it home. I saw him infrequently the next few years, but when I did, he always remembered me and we always had a pleasant conversation. One of the last memories I have of Frank is helping him paint his old animal hospital on US 41 in the early 70s. I then moved to Atlanta and lost contact with Frank and the majority of the Kennesaw crowd, but I never forgot him. There are so many people that pass through one's life, but not all are remembered. Frank was one of those people you definitely remember.
My thoughts will be with him.

if my memory is right, frankie and i were "classmates" from the first day of the first grade at Liberty Academy in Bedford through graduation at BHS. Though we had many memorable times together during those years, the one that sticks in my mind is the night I accepted his challenge to race our (father's) cars--his, a '58 ford; mine, a '57 plymouth--from the big otter bridge to the present day walmart when the road was only two lanes. very stupid...but what a rush. thankfully neither of our dads...or ambrose rucker...ever heard about it.

He used to be "Frankie" when we fished in Boone's pond, hunted ground hogs on the farm, and cruised the Auto Dine in his black and white '56 Ford convertible and then his white Corvair. His was a life well lived. We all will miss him.

As a child I spent many fun filled hours with the Boone family. Frank, his sister Frenchie and I grew up together and remained friends well into our adult lives. Frank even served as an usher in my wedding. He will always be remembered as a good friend and true gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

Frank and I became friend's in the third grade at Liberty Academy, when my family moved to Bedford. That friendship remained throughout our adult life. Frank was always the leader of the group. He had a big influence on my life. We shared many adventures and experiences growing up. I spent time with Frank the week before he passed away. We relived many of those experiences. It brought a smile to his face as we talked about them. I will miss my Friend. My condolences to his family. Jerry Prillaman(Roanoke, Va)

Frank and I both grew up on dairy farms in Bedford, VA Our families knew each other since the early 1940's. During the 1950's Frank, his sister Frenchie, and I were active in 4-H club work, judging livestock, attending Holiday Lake 4-H camps and we all graduated from Bedford High School. Frenchie and I were in in the same graduating class along with my wife Judith Heller Cassell. The trend continued as Frank and I graduated from VPI. I have many pleasant memories of fun time shared with Frank. He was always the stabalizing force in our circle of friends.
