Freddie Weiss Obituary

Freddie R. Weiss, 75, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at his home. He was an Army man, a loving husband, a good Dad and Grandpa. He is gone but not forgotten, he will always be with us in spirit. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Sally Weiss, who never left his side once; four daughters, Sally Kirk and husband, Joey, Michelle Weiss, Mary Parson, and Tammy Weiss, 10 grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. He will be missed very much; however he is with our heavenly Father and surrounding family members. The family wishes to give special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for their care. We love you and we will miss you. The Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in the Roanoke Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Witt officiating. The family will receive friends prior to services, from noon until 2 p.m. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.lotzfuneralhome.com.

I will miss Uncle Freddie..I didn't get the opportunity to grow up knowing him but was blessed to have him in my life during my adult years..he was always so gentle and kind to me..he was a very humble man.. he always made me laugh..i loved the stories he told about the family and especially the ones he shared with me about my dad..I will miss these times..I will miss his stories.I will miss his beautiful grin and his laughter.I have been so blessed to have had such a wonderful uncle and will always be so thankful that he accepted me to be a part of his life.To stand there and watch him leave Saturday was one of the hardest things I have done in a long time but he had a good life..Aunt Sally is the best and she was always so good to him.she treated him like a baby way before he ever got sick. you never saw one without the other..what a pair...Aunt Sally I love you dearly and thank you for all that you did for Uncle Freddie..I know he was your world and I'm so sorry..I'm here for you anytime..Michele.Mary, Tammy and little Sally what treasures you were to your dad..he loved you girls unconditonaly..I don't think you could of ever said or done anything that would of changed that..he was so proud of his family..I pray that you will each take comfort in knowing that he won't ever have to endure anymore pain or suffering and that he now rests in the arms of Jesus and I know he will live forever in your hearts..I love you all.
