Gary Watson Obituary
July 4, 1957 - September 1, 2022
Gary William Watson, age 65, of Roanoke, went to his new home on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Gary was a graduate of Roanoke College and Mary Baldwin University. Gary most recently owned Gene's Trading Post and loved all the people he met through his work. He loved antiquing on his off days, doing lawn work and being involved in anything the family was doing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Betty Watson. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin Watson; son, Gray Watson and fiancée, Amanda Sharp; daughter, Allie Watson; brother, Dan "Elvis" Watson and wife, Kari, of Clayton, N.C.; and sister-in-law, Sabrina Thompson of Salem.
He will also be missed by his furry friends, Zoe, Aiden, and Maya; and his antique kitties.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road, 540-366-0707.

So truly sorry to hear this. I can say myself and my entire family loved Gary so much. He was like an uncle to me growing up. I could never count how many Saturdays I enjoyed laughing with him at the Trading Post. My condolences to Robin and his children.
