George Edward Seib II, 79, of Salem, VA, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Born on February 10, 1946, to George and Carrie Seib in Schenectady, NY, George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

George met his beloved wife, Sharon Elizabeth McDaniel Seib, in 1959 when they were 13 years old and competing in roller skating. They quickly became a couple, skating together in competitions and winning many titles over the years. Their love for each other was evident, and they remained inseparable, sharing a beautiful life together for 58 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; his son, George Edward Seib III (Katy); and his cherished grandchildren, Noah Seib and Emma Seib.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie Seib, and his brother, Jerry Seib.

George was a faithful member of New Life Presbyterian Church in Salem, VA. He had a successful career in sales, known for his dedication and commitment to his work. Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed photography, collecting model cars, and especially traveling with Sharon to explore the rich history of Virginia. They found joy in learning about the state's past and visiting its many landmarks.

George will be remembered for his sly humor and his deep love for his family and friends. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Oakey's North Chapel to share memories and honor his life. A private graveside service for the family will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
