Hazel Marie Jones passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 26, 1936, Hazel was one of 12 children in a close-knit family. She shared a lifetime of love and companionship with her late husband, Clifton Jones, and was a devoted mother to Wanda, Carla, and her recently deceased son, Paul.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024, at God's House Baptist Ministry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Everyone should aspire to have such words when they depart, spoken over them such as "Her legacy of faith, hope, and love will continue to inspire and uplift those she touched for generations to come." She left behind much more than physical memories, she left behind memories that will be spoken about for future generations. Her job here was done faithfully. May she rest in peace at the right hand of the Father.

I met Hazel at the Harrison Elementary School & cherished so many beautiful memories from that time until THE Lucy Addison Class of 1954. Hazel was a light to everyone she met. The impact she had on so many lives Is truly immeasurable. I lost my mother at the age of 14, and met Hazel soon thereafter through my dear friend and sister Wanda. Hazel showed me so much love and support that I felt a piece of my own mother was shining through her. I cannot express how much that love meant to me. Hazel, que descansen en paz. You will be deeply missed but we know your presence and impact will continue to shine.

What a blessing from God to have had Hazel and Cliff as neighbors! I know their reunion has been sweet. Hazel l love you and will miss you so very much. Thank you for always being here for me and Mike praying for us thru our hard times. You were our mother and friend. I could call you anytime l needed to and talk and laugh, but ending our call with a prayer. I want to thank you one more time for sharing your beautiful daughter Carla with me. You and Carla and Kevin and your whole family always made me feel so loved. If l could l would send you some corn bread and cabbage everyday.
