Herman LEE Obituary

Herman Albert Lee, 77, of Troutville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 23, 2012. He was a simple man, hunter, fisherman and gardener, was a man of integrity and generosity and lived a simple life where he never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. Herman was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Gillispie Lee; parents, Herman O. and Lura Lee; brothers, Grover, Harlis, Ray, Jerry Lee; and sister, Gladys Caldwell; special lifelong friends, Robert and Helen Arthur. Herman is survived by his daughter, Regeana Sandidge and George Corring; sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry and Debbie Lee, Anthony (Andy) and Tammie Jo Lee; grandchildren, Wayne Sandidge Jr. and Erin, Lurinda and Chris Overfelt, Tina and Rob Cook, Jason Lee, Victoria and Rebel Payne Jr., Rocky Woolwine, Marc and Katie Rucker, Amber and Tony Hernandez; 11 great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; brothers, Jennings Lee, Fred Lee and wife, Joyce, Eugene Lee; sister, Annabelle Staples and husband, David (Buck); brothers-in-law, Hugh Gillispie and wife, Kathy, Fred Gillispie and wife, Karen.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kevin "Striker" Wright. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor David Rorer officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Dale Memorial Park with Military Honors by the United States Army. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Didn't know him personally but his daughter-in-law and son such sweet people! I am sure he will truly be missed, there is always a void in losing a parent, makes it even more difficult this time of year, I know this frm losing Mother. God will give you strength to go on! He is with you!
